Data Deduplication
What is data duplication?
Data deduplication eliminates duplicate copies of redundant data to reduce storage. It enables the storage of only one unique copy of data within a database, data platform, or information system. Also known as data reduction, single instance storage, or data compression, data deduplication eliminates redundant data at the subfile level, which can greatly improve storage utilization and reduce overhead. At the end of process, only a single copy of data is stored with all redundant data removed.
